Real People, Real Connections
MOVE Bank has an outstanding reputation for exceptional member service. As a mutual bank, our members are at the heart of everything we do, and meeting their expectations is a defining characteristic of our customer service.
MOVE Bank is a signatory to the Customer Owned Banking Code of Practice, which means we do things a little differently to your 'typical' bank. 100% of our profits are used to benefit our members, and every decision we make is made with our members best interests in mind.
If you want to join a team where you are valued for your unique efforts and contribution, and enjoy a sense of purpose from what you do, then you'll find MOVE Bank is a good fit for you. We operate in a hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work from home up to 50% of the time. We feel so strongly about ensuring work-life balance, that our systems won't even let you work past our core hours without special permission.
MOVE Bank was established in 1968, originally known as Railways Credit Union, to help railway workers and their families build stable financial futures. Although a lot has changed since then (including our name), we remain committed to helping everyday Australian's meet their financial goals.
Four core values guide the dynamic team-based culture at MOVE Bank. We are a tight-knit group that has an exciting atmosphere, which helps us to effectively conduct business at the leading edge of mutual finance. Combine this with the passion and drive of our people and the result is a workplace where people are genuinely happy to serve our members and feel rewarded by what they do.
We believe investing in our people is an investment in our business. Your development plan is just as important to us as other KPIs.
Whether it's ongoing professional development, mentorship, or cross-department training - we do whatever we can to help develop and engage our employees.
Our AIM Access Benefit allows all employees to access up to 10k per year in personal and professional development through our partnership with the Australian Institute of Management.
Team members who are interested in developing their leadership potential and engaging with the broader Customer Owned Banking Community are eligible to apply to participate in the MOVE Bank Emerging Leader Program. Incorporating leadership development activities both within and outside the organisation, the program helps participants make connections and have a tangible impact on the business.
Company culture plays a pivotal role in shaping the overall employee experience, and at MOVE Bank, it takes center stage. This is reflected in our regular engagement surveys, with staff consistently highlighting our culture and colleague connections.
We host regular events that encourage collaboration and a sense of belonging among our employees. Whether you want to roll up your sleeve donate with our Lifeblood team, lace up your sneakers and join us at Bridge to Brisbane, or simply get to know your team at our social events, there is something for everyone.
We aim to make you feel like part of the business from day 1. As part of your onboarding, you'll meet with the managers of each of the departments so they can give you an overview of how they contribute to our purpose. Once a month the whole company gets together to hear about what one team has been working on and give you an opportunity to see the why behind what we do.
Our commitment to acknowledging outstanding contributions is reflected in our staff awards program, which celebrates the hard work and dedication of our team members.
This dynamic combination of employee connections, engaging events, and recognition through staff awards not only fosters a vibrant and inclusive company culture but also drives our collective success.
