Visa Secure (formerly Verified by Visa) has introduced a new security measure to give you peace of mind while you shop online.

What is Visa Secure?

Visa Secure offers fraud protection while shopping online by providing you with an extra level of security.

When you shop online with a participating retailer, you may be asked to provide extra information at the check-out to help us confirm that it’s you making the purchase.

This added security provides assurance to you, us and the retailer that your card is not being used fraudulently.

What’s changing?

From 8 April 2020 when shopping online with a participating retailer, you’ll receive a One Time Password via SMS to your mobile to authenticate that it’s you.

You’ll simply need to enter this code in a separate window displayed on the site, follow the prompts and complete your transaction as normal.

Do I need to do anything?

You won’t need to do anything, as your MOVE Bank Visa card automatically provides you with this additional protection. However, if your mobile number is incorrect or you haven’t provided us with one, it’s important to update your details with us.

Update or add your contact details in 3 simple steps:

  1. Log in to Internet Banking
  2. Select ‘My Preferences’
  3. Click ‘Update Contact Details’
