With the end of financial year car sales upon us, we thought it was the perfect time to share this story from Luke M. about how Maree from MOVE Bank helped take the stress out of a new car purchase…

Luke’s Story

Luke first got in touch with us in late 2015 to talk about how we could help him with buying a new car. Maree from our member consultant team was helping him with the application, but eventually Luke put the loan on hold as it wasn’t the right time.

Then in April, Luke got in touch with Maree – since she’d been so helpful the first time he enquired about the loan he was keen for her to help him again now he was ready to buy.

Unfortunately what should have been a positive experience for Luke was marred by several issues with the dealer he bought the ute from. Not only was delivery significantly delayed, but when it did arrive Luke found it had been scratched in transit AND had a diesel leak!

In contrast, Luke says his experience with MOVE Bank couldn’t have been easier.

Every request was turned around quickly and with zero stress.

Once Maree had submitted his application, Luke’s new car loan was pre-approved within 36 hours. She also organised for him to be able to draw $2,000 from the loan in advance so he could have a bull bar fitted prior to delivery.

No matter how many hurdles he encountered with the dealer, Maree ensured that the finance side of his purchase ran smoothly.

“I’ll be doing all my business through Maree in future”, said Luke.  
Despite the hassles, Luke experienced this story does have a happy ending.

He recently emailed a picture of his new purchase to Maree with these words of thanks…

“Today is the day I pick it up! Just want to say a big thank you to you and team for helping me out through this really stressful time – it was well worth it”
